This song has a powerful meaning behind it and I think that’s why I like it so much. It connects to me and my life in multiple ways. I have had made my share of mistakes and this song makes me think of them. Some were so dumb that I wonder how it even happened, while others are bigger mistakes. These are the mistakes I don’t want to look back on. Everyone makes mistakes and the lyrics to this song lets you know that it’s okay to make those mistakes sometimes.

I definitely have a pocket full of regrets. In all honesty I wish I didn’t have those regrets but I do. I have to live with them now because I can’t go back and change them. But like the song says, “Hey, it happens to us all.” In some sense, we are all in the same boat. We all make mistakes and have some regrets. That’s just human nature.

“When the cold, hard rain just won't quit, and you can't see your way out of it.” These lyrics particularly hit home for me. In the last year, I’ve had quite a few challenges thrown my way. I didn’t know if I could get through some of the challenges. I was in the hospital a few times in the last year and before getting the diagnoses of my heart condition, I felt hopeless and like the situation wasn’t going to get any better, but thankfully it has.  I’ve also lost two people that I was extremely close to in the last couple months. I felt like the “cold, hard rain,” was never going to go away.

My faith has very much been shaken and I feel like I’ve found it again. I’ve always had faith but all the challenges lately have taught me to rely on it more. I believe you can always do what you think is impossible. You can do anything with love. It can be love from a friendship, family members or a boyfriend or girlfriend. Love is unstoppable.
